    paint code 62 buick

Can someone help me to understand my paint codes as it does not seem to correspond the official one.For a 1962 buick electra 225 the code embossed (in my car)is DD* ...and the official code shows only DD that is, silver with blue but my car is supposed to have the original paint and is silver grey almost non metallic.

Thank you in advance , it would be very helpful to understand , as i am planning to repaint or at least retouch my car...

my ref book says 'D' is Silver Cloud (doubled letters simply means that the top is the same color as the body of the car or monochrome). that corresponds with the Silver Cloud Metallic listed for 62 over in the shop.

    star

The big mystery remain the star after the DD
Effectively , i bought an aerosol can of silver cloud paint (DD)(looks like blue with silver) but it does not match with my car that i know that has the original paint on it...it has always been in the family ,so i know the history of the car.

    thanks for the reply,
