The first number 4 indicates that the cat is a Buick Special the second Digit B Indicates the car was assembled in 1955. The third number 4 indicates the car was assembled in Kansas City, Kansas. The six remaining numbers represent the sequential production number.
If you open the hood, on the passanger side there is a 2"x3" metal tag rivited to the cowl panel between the hood and winshield, close to the firewall. Tag has other usefull information.
Model number, Fisher style, Paint color, Trim Color ETC.
