    Question

Hello all. I've been reading through the site and the boards for a while, but now I've got a question.

I'm looking at a 1969 GS400 Convertible, and I need some help decoding the VIN and ident plate.

    The VIN is:
    444679Y216255

The plate isn't in great shape. It looks like it had some rust spots and was painted over. I copied down as much of it as I could.

    ST 69 -44467 BW02079
    TR 164 65
    06B 0650

If it's a noob question, I apologize. I appreciate any help you guys can give me. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the help Bob. I found some similar info after I posted here. 44467 makes it a Skylark Custom series Convertible Coupe, not a GS400 Convertible Coupe (Model 44667), correct?

Is there any place I can find the original equipment, color and history of this car?

Also, can someone clear up the differences between the GS400 and the Skylark Custom series?

Mike, if I pick this car up I'll definitely be interested in swapping ideas and info. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for all your help, guys.
