    Want information on what tyo look for when
    buying 49 Buick 3 holer. See my previous
    entry dated 10-08-01. Just getting into old
    cars and love Buicks but need to know pitfalls to look for. Appreciate any help

    Let the engine run long enough to get to operating temp and see where the oil pressure is at idle. It should be 15 lb. The trans should be tried in forward and reverse. they were notorious for losing reverse. Check also for oil leaks,as a leaking trans or rear main is an expensive proposition.
