Check your crank sensor. Make sure it didn't get damaged when you reinstalled the crank dampener.
Hello I have a 1988 Century with 75k miles, had the timing chain tensioner break on me I replaced the chain and gears but it also bent my valves when it happened.
so I replaced the heads from another car I had (heads just redone before it got totaled) anyways I cannot get it started and it ran very good before the chain was replaced,
I am not getting any spark to the plugs replaced the control module still no spark, replaced the coils no spark, replaced the camshaft sensor again no spark so I am kinda stumped here so I went and bought a computer for it and again no spark anyone got any idea's
Check your crank sensor. Make sure it didn't get damaged when you reinstalled the crank dampener.
Besides the crank sensor, check the camshaft sensor and since you had to replace the tensioner, check to see if the magnet is in the cam gear. The magnet is what signals the cam sensor and without it, no spark.
It pops in really easy, it could pop out just as easy and you might not have noticed it.
Hope that works.

thanks guys didnt even think of the crank sensor or the magnet will check them both out the camshaft sensor is new so I dont think it is bad could be will have it checked also
well the crank sensor wasn't bad replaced with a new one just in case that didnt work still wouldnt star, it also has the magnet on the timing gear I am out of idea's
Are you sure it's just a spark issue?
Do the injectors fire? I would recheck all connections and grounds.
Also make sure the module is well grounded. I have seen a no spark condition from a poorly grounded module.
When you turn the key on, do you here the fuel pump relay and fuel pump turn on?
If you can scan the ecm system, it would be a big help.
Good Luck.
seems the crank sensor is out of alignment, talked to one of the mechanics at our bus depot he told me that if its not in the correct position no matter what I did it wouldnt start, I did what LRW67 said all are ok didnt show any codes on a scan so my question is how do you adjust the crank sensor
A common problem is the ground wire under the coil pack needs to be tightened.
