    Cool 1965 wildcat convertible vin decode

    Hello. I have a 1965 Wildcat convertible and am having trouble decoding some of the numbers. While some numbers match up and make sense, others are a mystery. I have spent about an hour on your site here looking at codes.....and haha....I've ran out and checked and double checked to make sure i wrote them down properly. Can u help me out???

    This car has the bucket seats and console in it which i have never seen in a converible Wildcat. It also has power windows (even power vent windows).

    Ok here we go. '

    The serial number is 546667052554

    The plate on the fire wall says :

    Style 46667 1-1-5
    Body No. 402256
    Paint N (burgandy mist poly)
    Trim 677 (red vinyl)
    A38U75TOP-02

    any help would be appreciated. Thanks alot. Tyson

    A38 = non custom seat belts ( Just a guess since A39 is custom seat belts)

    U75 = power antenna

    TOP-02 = I suppose this is a black convert top

    4 = Buick

    66 = Willdcat Custom

    67 = 2 door convert.

    Body No. 402256 = Fisher body sequence number

    Style = model year here 1965

    4398 were made.

    I would rather a Cat specialist answer your question about the differences between a Deluxe and a Custom for the 65 model year.

    Go to www.v8Buick.com and post in the Bench section a title that reads: "Calling Wild Bill Burton or Ted Nagel or Buickboneheadl" They may be at the Flint event so you may not hear back until Monday. There may be some Wildcat experts here too. I am just drop in here every so often to lend a hand with decoding.
