Hello, first post and first GM. I have been around fords all my life and I am new to the Buicks. We just got a 69 skylark custom 350 4 barrel with 75,000 miles on it. It is very solid. I need to change the transmission fluid and can not figure out how to ID the transmission. Does anybody know what transmission is in the 69 skylarks with the 350? I found some numbers on the drivers side casting 6260146 and then under it CFD 2 and then a 538 number under it. I also found on the drivers side engine block by the transmission it says 350 and then there is a 5 under it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And yes, I really love the buick. It rides nicer than my 67 ford. I checked the forum for identification, but couldnt find any numbers that matched the ones on my transmission.

There should be an ID tag on the passenger side that says 350. Also the pad on the driver's side should bear the partial VIN of your car if original.
So for a Flint built car it would read:
9H[and then the last six digits of your VIN]
Looks like I have a TH350 transmission. Thanks for your guys help and the links. They helped a bunch.
