66 Skylark convertible

New here. Just picked up a 66 skylark convertible and the fisher body plate says if I'm correct V2 (shell beige with black vinyl top) but protect o plate says VV. And I sent email General motors heritage and they say it's a GS. All decoding I've search says otherwise? Thoughts?

In 66 44667 is a GS Skylark convertible and 44467 was a non GS convertible Skylark. In 65 44467 was a V8 Skylark that could be a GS or not a GS Skylark. 66 was the first year for the GS Skylark to have its own separate vin designation.

I would trust the trim plate over the P-O-P. They were not done as part of the manufacturing process, but the trim plate was done during manufacturing. You may also find a build sheet under a seat or carpet that will validate the trim plate.
