1941 Super 46S with 248 cu. in. engine, Carburetor questions (dual Carter carbs)

Hi Guys!

Could someone tell me wether these two carbs in the dual carb system are the right ones for this 1941 Super:

Carter 663S
j8 9

Carter 528S
A0 3

The reason for asking this question is, that when I look up this year and model of this car in the Carter manual, it lists the 663S carb for late 40-ies or even early 50-ies, while the 528S seems to me the right one.

In case carb. 663S should also work, could someone let me know how you set the metering rod correctly?

for 41-42 rear 663S front 528S, not a set. Both for the 40/50

I'm not sure where did you get the info above, but the 663S is listed only once, for the year 1948-49.:


1948 - 4940/50608SC, 663SCarter WCD

and what do you mean "not a set"?
What does "set" means in this case?
And if this combo is only "good enough" what set or combo would be ideal?

The engine and chassy numbers are the same: 44399661
 
Is it possible, that the only set or combo that this super could have come with is this?:


1941 - 4740 Special, 50 Super380106 (7-66), 380237 (7-74A)Stromberg AAV-16

Woops, yes the 663S is a single carb for the 48-49 40/50
