Fuel pump interchange

Will the later (364-401-425) nailhead fuel pump work on a 55 264. The 264 is in a 51 F-1 that has electric wipers so I don't need the vacuum part of the 55 pump. Besides that I am tired of the 55 pump slobbering oil out the side. I don't want a full time electric pump...I already had one 'crispy critter'.

Anybody have an idea or a fuel pump from and early and a later nailhead to compare?

See if you can find a fuel pump for a 1956-58 or so, 322 Chevrolet truck engine. They only had the fuel and not the vacuum for the wipers.

Bought a later fuel pump and answered the question: NO!
Probably will work with a later timing cover---might consider that when I need a water pump.
