Hey there Jenz it was great to meet up and yeah we never had the beer!! i feel bad now that i didn't grab a beer for us both..sorry!
no i made it all the way home till i parked on my drive and then it started, like someone tapping on the fan blades! i took my fan belt off and it was the bearing,i could feel it notching as in turned it and then it seized completely.i have taken it to a guy in Birmingham that has been fixing water pumps for 40 years as well as American stuff..he was recommended by a guy i know that runs a 49 Mercury as well as other cars...i will let you know how it goes,he quoted me £65 plus vat..
Cheers buddy...oh and your car is awesome, looks great and sounds spot on!!

good job. can't imagine you'd have gotten a unit shipped from the States for that.

Yeah i would say around 90 euro with probably 15/20 euro shipping??..the guy knows his stuff,he said the impeller is very similar to a Bently and that due to it being very fragile was preparing to make a new one if it broke during dissasembly..
