    any performance parts out there???

Hey New to the forum I have a 1953 buick special with the straight 8. Are there any headers for this motor or any other upgrade parts like cam or anything? Any info will be greatly appreciated thanks.

    Congrads for your Car.
look at ebay for a complete compound carburetion sytem from a 41-42 Buick with the small 248 engine, that will match without problems on the 263 .
You switch the carb linkage to a progressive one, the best is in rear also a front carb with acceleration pump.
Mill the Head 2mm and bring your cam to a grinder for let it make a little hotter in the midrange ( max 4000 revs limit).
build a new bigger Exhaust and thats it. :-)

I don't usually check out ebay but out of my 3 purchases there, all have been good. you could try your luck out there since most prices there go for straight out of an auto parts warehouse-like price. Can't really give you input on what to do since I'm still actually a noob at this. best of luck!

    eye candy

Im working on making a finned valve cover for my 263 along with a spark plug and taped cover. Im sculpting these masters since all I have are my hands, heat and a junk yard full of old rims. Ive done my homework and hunted down a shrink rule to draw out my plans. I've included a side profile of what I will end up with. It will definitely have a oil cap filler hole and my moms last names initial. Im doing this for my self since I must have those goodies. If intrest arises ill make extra.
