    Exhaust Header Flange

Is anyone making a one piece exhaust/intake flange for the 263?

Because of block/head expansion, it probably isn't a good idea. That's why most of the originals cracked or broke the expansion joints. The factory used a mixture of oil and graphite to allow slippage.

WOW! I have an exhaust manifold like this! Bought it at a swapmeet years ago, someone told me that some headers like it were made back in the 50,s or so. Ha well guess he was right. 39c

    Gaskets

Not to hi-jack this thread, but does anybody know of a supplier that makes solid copper header flange gaskets? I have used the laminated ones from Bob's, but they come apart when you try to do any port matching on them. I'm sure somebody has done them with all of the laser/water jet capability out there. Thought I'd start my search here.

I bought a set of those about a year ago. The #1 & #8 exhaust ports were larger than all the rest. I don't know if they have fixed this or not. Was not happy with the product and told them so. They sent me two different sets and both had the same problem, their soulution was for me to have them sleeved and welded up which would have cost as much as the flanges. The bolt holes in the flange were also way to large which could make gasket sealing a problem.
