    1941 shop manual

Does any one have a '41 shop manual? I would like someone to scan the section about installing and setting up the dual carb set up. I have '37 with a '40 engine and have just gotten a '41 dual carb set up for this engine. I don't want to buy the manual because I only need the one section. I have the '37 shop manual which is very helpful with my car.

    Thanks,

    Bob

    Bob-
I have an original '42 manual, with 24 pages about the carburators. There is no "section about installing and setting up the dual carb set up," as information about compound carburation is mixed throughout. This is an original manual, and too fragile to put on a scanner bed. If you can advise whether you have Strombergs or Carters on your set-up, I can try to locate the relevent material, and see what I can do.

Thank you for your offer, a person on the AACA Buick site sent me the pages I was looking for.

    Thanks again,

    1941 Shop Manual

I had a 41 Super for 10 years, and found a gadget that set on top of each carb when the air cleaner was removed. The gadget sold by JC Whitney was called a Syncro-Giz. It had a cylinder attached to the unit that had a float that could be adjusted to a given mark, and then placed on one carb and then the other adjustments made so the float was the same on both carbs. Worked very well the whole time I had the car.

I think you can still buy those. They are used to sync motorcycle carbs.
