Thread: straight 8 lifters

    straight 8 lifters

I have just got a 1953 Super with the 263 and Dynaflow.

I was wanting to verify which lifters this engine has. Manual or hydraulic.
From what I have read is that if you have a manual transmission you have manual lifters and if you have a Dynaflow you have hydraulic lifters.

Is this in fact always true?

I am new to the site and would appreciate any info you have.

The 53 Super was a V-8 . The Special was the last straight 8
