I just got those "copper clad" gaskets, too. Bob's Automobilia don't recommend any sealing compounds. However, I'm using tube headers and an aluminum intake, so just for an extra measure, I applied a light coat of blue Hylomar on the intake flanges. I guess Gaskacinch works, too. There aren't too many sealers compatible with gasoline. I recall Buick recommended graphite paste to go with the factory manifolds.
I just hate chasing vacuum leaks, that's why I used a sealer compound.
