I have one that I could measure, it is 3.821. I have no reason to believe it has been worked on, but maybe if you can get another one or two, you can feel more certain.
Does anyone have the exact height of an umodifeid head for a 320?
I am planning to mill off a few mm but would like to be sure the head is stock height before hand so I don't take off to much

I have 2 heads and with your meassurments I should be able to determine if my head is stock or close enough to mill 3/32" out of the max 1/8" allowed

You didnt say whehter or not u have a dyna flow or not but i do know that the dynaflow equipped cars came milled a little fom the factory and the manual cars didnt at least that applies to 1948 and 1949. Just something to watch out for

Well actually im sorry i messed up the 320ci dynaflow cars had the block milled already not the head. my manual doesnt give how much they milled just says that 48 roadmasters with dynaflow had 6.9/1 compression where as manuals has 6.6/1 it says the blocks are factory milled that way
