There is nothing to it !!! All you have to do is build motor mounts,tranny mounts, install a rear end,as the car has a torque tube and virtually destroy the car.

You also have to convert to 12 volts

thats what i figured, anyone knwo where to get a starter that would fit it that is 12volts? the rest i can fab and figure out but the starer puzzels me

Its not the starter that has to be converted to 12 volts, it's the car. The car is currently 6 volts.

your friendly local parts house or auto scrap yard ought to be full of sbc starters.

There is a guy up here in michigan that took a 39 buick convertable original and restored the entire thing then put in a 78 camaro inline 6 cylinder with the auto trans and the rear axle too . shocked me ...
