    I think you may be able to drop the temp a little more if the headers were ceramic coated.

    The original 49's had their ventiports connected with tubes to the engine compartment. The newer 49's didn't bother. Which do you have? Had you thought to use those holes to exhaust some of your heat? I think Jyrki had heat problems, and raised the back of his hood to exhaust heat. I would think the ventiports would to the same thing. Let us know what you think about this, might be a real solution.

    You said you shaved the head .0075 in an earlier post. I think you must have done more than that, 'cause a .0075 cut isn't much at all.
