Straight Eight Dual Exhaust Mufflers???

What brand/type of muffler/glasspack are you guys running on your straight eights with true dual pipes? I'm looking for a good tone, thats a little raspy but still pleasant to drive with the family. Examples: Smithy's, porters, Cherry bombs, Brockmans, Thrush, etc. or just plan straight pipes with nothing?

I have found all kinds of sound bites on all kinds of vehicles, but no Buick 8's

I have stock mufflers on my 40 ,and they are probably too quiet for what you are looking for. Years ago (1950 ) I had a 37 Century ,and straight pipes are too loud, but Smithys sounded good . I was a LOT younger then, and the noise didn't bother me.
Both cars used the 41 exhaust manifolds.

For a truly unusual sound try four with stock and four with a glass pack.

I have the manifold split 5 and 3 with Cherry Bombs and it sounds great. I think they are 2" dia. 27" long.
