sounds like the ...throwout bearing....maybe...is it at idle?
I adjusted my clutch a bit as my car had no been driven in ages....
If you depress the clutch just a bit, does it go away?
Here's a tricky one.
My 1952 Super has a loud squeaking noise like a wheel bearing going except it's coming from the front\middle of the car. It sounds like something needs lubrication. It happens under the following circumstances all of the time:
Throttle pressed - no noise.
In gear all pedals up - noise.
Depress the clutch - no noise.
So I would say it's possibly clutch related; any ideas?
Thanks,
Andy

check this out....sound familiar?
Yes, that's the one - exactly what it sounds like!
It goes away either when I depress the clutch OR engage the throttle. So I guess that's what it is. Can you remember what adjustment you did to get the noise to go?
Also if it is the throwout bearing, is this a propshaft off job?
Thanks very much for your reply,
Andy
