I can't think of any engine that needed a vacuum pump to support a power brake system. The booster in your fuel pump should be more than enough to supply the cylinder as well as the wiper motor.
I did a couple of searches with no luck. Sorry if this has been covered.
But my question is coming up with a good reliable vacuum source on my 263 that will support a power brake booster, wipers and transmission. I'm not sure if my fuel/vacuum pump even with a vacuum reserve catch can would work or not. I was contemplating fab'n in a belt driven vacuum pump from a ford diesel engine perhaps. Any advice from you guys?

I'm taking the vacuum for booster directly from the manifold. I do have a rebuilt vacuum pump for the wiper. The idea of the pump is to support vacuum for the wipers under acceleration, when there's no vacuum in the intake. But regardless of the pump, the wipers on my '46 Roadie are lazy under acceleration. I have purchased an electric motor conversion kit from New Port Engineering, but have yet to install it.
You might try adding a vacuum resevoir tank to your system to hold vacuum for when it is needed. A 1 gallon tank with valving should work for most applications.
