    what carb do I have

wondering if there is a way to tell what model number carter a carb is if it is missing the tag? I'm trying to buy a rebuild kit for a carb that I bought, but without the tag I don't know what model # it is. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

is the number marked anywhere on the carb besides the tag, wich is no longer on the carb. it is supposed to be a 528 or 509 carter, but I would like to be able to confirm this.
