    Timing port

I'm new to the Buick/Straight 8 world so bear with me. I would like to check the timing of the engine and from what I've read there should be a timing port that snaps in and out allowing you to see the marks. For the life of me, I cannot find this port. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Timing Port

Sorry, I left out that it is a 263 in a '53 Special.

It's right above the starter motor. There's a square snap-in cover under which are marks on the flywheel.
