My transmission tag

Heres the tag thats riveted to the side of a transmission I'm thinking of buying. Supposedly a '65 400 that was mated to a '65 425. Can anyone help out with the codes?

Ok, I spent a bunch of time last night and found a link on here that led me to the proper page.

BR is the 400 trans for a '65 401 motor.
65 is the year.
309 is the day it was made. (unclear whether that means the 309th day which would be Nov 5th, or if it was simply the 30th of the 9th month being Sept 30.)
4694 is the last 4 digits of the VIN number.

The BR also indicates it came from a Riviera.

The 309 build date would indicate the the 309th day of '64 (November 4).

4694 is the transmission serial number. With a production of 28467 '65 401 Rivieras it falls fairly early in the production run.
