    1955 Carter carb

    Hello

I'm restoring my Carter 2 barrel carb. and i would like to know what kind of thread is used on teh carb. at the following places
*Inner thread fuel cleaner at the rear of the carb.
    *outer thread fuel cleaner itself.
    *outer thread climate control.

I thought it was some sort of N.P.T. thread but i am not sure and i dont want to ruin my carb.

I anyone could help my i will be very pleased

It should all be N.P.T. (National Pipe Thread for the uninformed...)

I am uncertain of the locations of the parts you are describing, but I expect the reason you are haveing difficulty with the threads is that they are not standard diameters. They will be standard threads, but they will be something like 20 threads per inch cut on a 7/8" or 1" diameter.
