Thread: Freeze plugs in a nailhead

    Freeze plugs in a nailhead

My nailhead 364 blows the freeze plugs. They're all rusted up (the car's obviously been used without antifreeze), and I've changed all the ones you can see.
My question is: Does anyone know if there are any freeze plugs in the rear of the engine, or anywhere else but in the undersides of the block and in the heads?

    Freeze Plugs

One on the rear of each head where the water manifold would attach if head was turned around for use on opposite bank. 3 on each side of the block. 2 small ones on each head near spark plugs if I remember right, mine are all buried in the snow right now.

    Question Freeze plugs

Thanks for answering! I never thought of the possibility of finding plugs in the rear of the heads!
I'd like to be sure though, if there are any plugs in the rear of the block...
