All is not lost. It can be rebuilt!
The 58 Buick also used a Carter 2 Barrell Carb #2674 with a 3 speed and # 2675 with the Dynaflow.
Carters are not a "Finnikey" and are a bit more tolerant.

I have a 2 brl Carter off of my 58 you can have but it looks like its in pretty bad shape too I never used it I pulled the engine as soon as I got the car. Let me know. Gary

Good Luck Don.. I would love to see some pics of your 58. I'm working on a 1958 46r 2 dr ht with a 425 Nailhead 700r4 trans and a 8.8" Ford rearend 3:55 gears. Its on a 10 year plan. At the moment I have the body off the frame and doing all the fab work for the trans, 4 link, rearend and airbag suspension. Kinda hot rod, lead sled, old school look.
