I think Cameros and Firebirds , rear wheel drive had 3.8 Buick motors. I saw this conversion in a Chevy Two in New jersey @ Stage 1 aotomotive in Pequoneck, NJ . Trying to locate phone number. Paul
Do the front wheel drive 3.8s have the bosses for side engine mounts in a rear drive application? We're also wondering about the bell housing bolt pattern and torque converter hookup. Lots of other questions too. It would make one sweet setup in a Chevy II.

I know the Camaro and Firebird did include the 3800 engine, but they didn't come with the Supercharged 3.8 which at least in the USA is FWD only. Check out this site, http://www.v6supercharged.com.au/index.asp over in Australia the Monaro (US GTO) has an optional 3.8 Supercharged. Unless you can figure out the parts you need imported you should be able to get the regular 3800 Series and add a turbo. You just can't add the supercharger onto the N/A 3.8 because the internals are beefed up and also the compression ratio is lower in the Supercharged version. There are several vendors working on or already have turbo kits available. I know of one place that is in the midst of selling one check it out http://www.3800performance.com/Merch...roduct_Count=0
Hope this helps!
