took my '93 regal GS out for a top speed run, and found that it won't go faster than about 120 mph, maybe 125, i think.(the speedo was off the scale).
the tach would not go over 4900 rpm.
i know it's capable of more, as it didn't "run out of steam" it just stopped accelerating.
do these things have rev limiters or speed limiters on them, and if so is there a company that makes performance chips to rectify this situation and/or get more power output?
The cars pcm has a prom you can replace. Not sure if any companies make a replacement one though. The pcm cuts the cylinders at a set spec from factory. Good luck finding one.
