Thread: Pipe size on 62 Invicta 401 Nailhead.

1. #1

Question

I am going to put dual exhaust on my 62 Invicta, and was wondering what size of pipe I should use?

Since it won't be mandral bent, I was thinking about 2.5 inch pipe so the bends would be at least 2.25 inch. Is that to big? Will I loose my low end torque?
It has really small pipe on it now in the original single configuration.

Thanks for your help.

Unless you have a "wild" motor you will be more than happy. A 2 inch would be quite enough for a stock or mild motor. You won't loose torque.
