Hi I just bought a 1960 Lesabre with 364 that had been sitting for a few years. The engine was started and runs fair but bent a push rod. Is this a normal problem for these engine after they have sat for a time? Is there any lifter problems with these enginges? thanks Darryl

I think it's more likley that you have a valve that is stuck in the guide rather than a lifter problem. most of these can be freed up by using a product such as Rislone and working the valve up and down in the guide.
