hello all. I'm new here. I'm here on behalf of my cumputerless buddy. He has a 61 lesabre 2dr. post. the car was bought with decent mileage and redone. It won custom rodder top10 at columbus GG's. not bad for a younger guy with not alot of money invested. heres where I need help. the 364 through a rod sunday. we need to know exactly what will bolt right in. we heard 59-63 364, 401, 425. is this true? any others? we found a 64 364 but don't know if it will work. please help. I'm sorry if I should've intro'd first but we're desperate. thanks Tim email me with any replys

Tim,

You probably didn’t find a 64 364 sine they were not made after 1961. The information you have is correct. A 57-63 364, 401 or 425 will bolt right in. The 364 was made from 57-61, the 401 from 59-66 and the 425 from 63-66. Only the pre 64 versions of these engines will work due to a crank change in 64.
