    Carb spacers

So what is the purpose of the c shaped indentation on Buick intakes behind the secondary bores. Also has anyone had experience with carb spacers? I hear that an open spacer can make the intake perform like a dual plane by the plenum that is created by the spacer. I was using a wood fiber spacer and am noticing moisture residue along the gasket. Runs great but is a little scary!

    What engine and intake?
spacers can make some difference but depends on what you have.
i have run a 1" open spacer on the race car and it seemed to like that.

As far as I know, the different carb spacer will make difference only if you do certain upgrades to the carburetor. Otherwise, you won't see the difference. But if you try driving with no spacer at all, you will see the power decrease... (experienced that on my old good Wrangler as well).
