removing oil pan on my century 1955 322 nailhead

Hi, is it possible to remove the oilpan with the engine still in the car?
What do I need to do?

… well on my 57, I only had to take the 2 bolts off the passenger side frame that hold the cross link and the complete assembly will drop down enough so you can get the pan off. Of course the other end is still connected to the pitman arm. If you need more room, then obtain a purpose built tool called the pitman arm remover tool, the kind that has a bolt/nut you have to turn to press and separate the pitman arm from it's shaft off of the steering box after of course taking off the large nut that holds the pitman arm on. The one used for your ball joints is too small.
    Thanks in Advance!
