    nailhead starters

Sorry but few parts from a 264-322 fit the later engines and starters are one of them, there are 5 different nailhead starters, the 53-56, the 57-58, 59-6o, the 61-63 and the 64-66. There are also some high and low torque models in there. .. I did fax you that pattern, email me with your address and I mail it to you .. All the 401 engines have the same 445 torque rating except the 62-63 2 barrel LeSabre that was rated at 410 ..

as im looking at my 322 set up i realized that it has the gas pedal start, how can i put that set up on the 401 carb??? (i LOVE the gas pedal start!! it keeps stupid people from starting or stealing it!!)

    push to start

I am using a Rochester 4G off a 1960 Buick 401 motor. It has the switch in the carb for the push to start feature. I think 1960 was the last year for that but it might have been 1961. I am using it on on a 1963 401 but have not run it yet. Hopefully very soon. Look around for an earlier carb with that feature.
