    3.8L cylinder heads

    I have a 78 turbo motor and after disassembly found a cracked head. I heard the 79 and newer heads are different and know that the exhaust manifolds from a 79 turbo would not bolt to a 78 head. Are the intake side of the heads different too? I guess the question is, if I use later model heads will the 78 turbo intake still bolt on? Thanks.

    The 79-up heads have a taller intake port for improved flow. Your 78 intake would bolt up, but there would be a port mis-match.
    There's a guy on the Turbobuick site, dr_frankinstein, that may have an intake for you.....he has a thread in the 'before-black' section:
