Anyone?,,,
This is for all the 50's buick guys who have replaced their own fuel lines with one of the "attractive" prebent 1-piece fuel lines in either stainless or oem steel. I myself have a 1952 Roadmaster.
Question: Whats the trick of installing one of these 1-piece multi bent fuel lines??? I don't want to splice a $110 line if i don't have to,,, let alone a frame-off restoration just to replace the fuel line in order to maintain it's "paid for" pre-bent integrity.
Any real world experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

Anyone?,,,
A lot of careful twisting, turning, cussing and swearing??? I haven't put one in yet, so I don't know...I'll have to soon, and if the new lines I order are 1 piece, I'll let you know how it goes. I have a feeling it won't be easy unless you remove the body from the frame.
I replaced the fuel ine on my 1955 and it would be impossible to do without lifting the body far enough to slip the line past the outboard body mounts. I elected to use several shorter lines and installed a union to connect them. I don't think you would have to lift the body too far to clear the body mounts with the line.

As much as i want the clean look of the one piece line. Lifting the body off of the car in order to get this car up and running isn't in order right now.
I am shying away from the $110+ one piece line that may be impossible to fit in. Instead i may try to 37degree double flare a couple of auto parts store 5/16 fuel lines and have one maybe 2 unions.....
Any other suggestions?
