OK, so I've searched this entire website and can't find a definite, no-question-about-it answer to my seemingly simple question.....
WILL 322 VALVE COVERS FIT A 401???
Yes, I've seen the pictures in the reference section but that refers to 364/401 compatibility. I ASSUME that the 322 and the 364 share the same block but haven't found anything anywhere that states that is fact. I'm looking at buying a pair of chrome 322 valve covers for my 401 but only if they'll actually fit. Can anyone help? If I've completely missed a thread or something where this info is posted you can slap me.....sorry.
Also, my current (factory) 401 valve covers have breathers.....the 322 valve covers don't. Will this cause problems? My 401 valley pan did not come with a down tube if that makes a difference.
All "Nail" valve covers are compatible. There is a problem with NO breathers. You can't fit a 322 valley cover so you will have to modify yours. You need to add an oil fill & a PCV valve or road draft tube. 322 & 364 blocks are different animals. Different deck heights.
