    Need immediate help.

My fuel gauge doesn't work. I have everything hooked up except the ignition wire b/c my plug/harness is lacking the wire from ign to my gauge. How do I add this wire? 66 buick electra 225 custom

Check the wiring diagram but I think there is a resistor on the wire so it does not send a full 12 volts to the sender. You may have a wire in the harness that goes to the resistor and there would be another wire running to the gauge. The tank unit acts as a ground only.
