i'm curious as to why you're asking this in the Nailhead fora? the "Star Wars" was 1967 only and on the BBB only.

They are already being reproduced also.

i've heard the repro's can be kind of flaky. not sure if there's more than one group doing it though.

The "starwars" air cleaner was a pot metal casting, so it would be hard to replicate with out haveing one and the skill to do the mouldings.

I know the era of Starwars aircleaners. Dad has a 425 and a 401 in the garage, as well as a dual quad setup that was traced back to one of the firsts off the assembly line. I would like to see close ups of one and make a replica myself to fit that specific setup. I know it wont be original, but it would look neat covering those duals. Ive got skills Ive never handled one and would like to see the bottom side as well as close ups. Who sells the repos? Otherwise I would take one of my extra dual snorkals and cut it up to fit.

ah. well, that would be really cool. the "Star Wars" is obviously the most distinctive and best looking air cleaner Buick ever used. it suxors that they only used it that single year.

too bad you hadn't asked this a couple of years ago. i know a used car dealer who had a 1967 GS sitting in his garage with one of these on it.

if i ever see anything like that again i'll have to be sure and get a full suite of digital photo's and dimensioning on it. but that's not going to do you any good right now.

You know that air cleaner would make an awesome shaker hood. To see a starwars cleaner peekin out of a hood, wierd, cool, different.

you rascal! having one of your own, you dog you.

he's going to need a ruler laid next to it in those pics so he can scale his dimensions though.

have you thought about making a page for that? i'm sure lots of people would like to see it.
