If your Riv. has the original engine it will already be a 425. Look for the engine code. It should be a KW or the very rare KX which is the 2x4 for '64. If done properly it wouldn't detract from the value but more than likely enhance it.

how many were made? I just bought a 64 riv but not a dual quad. Would it de-value mine if I put that set up on mine?

I was thinking about buying this one as well because it has the lx code engine. I wanted to know the production numbers on the 65 dual quad.

On a 64 Riv, all engines are 425's. The 2x4 set up was also available as a dealer installed option back then, so you can have a correct car and not have the KX code. If that's what floats your boat, go for it. To be very accurate though, you'd want to make sure that the date codes on the manifold and the carb numbers are correct for '64. To be complete, you'd probably also want to come up with the finned aluminum valve covers; remember, there's a special bracket needed for the back of the a/c compressor that gives you the clearance necessary for the additional height of the finned valve covers.
