    breathers

I replaced the carter afb w/ a edelbrock 600. The problem I'm having is finding a breather for it that doesn't hit the hood. 66 225 w/ 401 nailhead, any ideas?

    thanx

I know many of the aftermarket air cleaner makers have a drop base model that drops the base lower then the carb where the element is retained. I had a 4" element under the hood of my 66 GS with a K&N drop base filter kit. It required removing the insulation, but it fit. A 3" element would have fit easily.
