got a 1957 buick centry on the rebuild. have not gotten to the engine. the engine was torn down when i got. both cylinder heads have cracks in between the valves. need to replace them. don't know if you can still find them, or if another engine head would work on the motor. not sure if this engine is something worth rebuilding. if not what would work in that car.
thanks protech

Thank You for the info on the heads. what is your view on rebuilding this motor.
A 401/425 from '59-'63 that originally came with a DynaFlow crank is a bolt-in swap. Motor mounts & most acc. are the same. Use the 364 rear sump oil pan. You will have to source a rear sump oil pan pick-up if your using a '62-'63 401/425. I have these. '59-'61 engines are already rear sump. Parts availability for the 401/425 engines are more readily available.
