    Installing a PVC System

Does anyone have any ideas or experience installing a PVC system? Specifically, I would like to replace the road draft system on a 56 322 with an aftermarket log type intake to a PVC system. My thought is to install the valve using the original road tube opening in the valley cover. Is a baffle necessary inside the cover? Where would be a good place to pick up vacummn? What specific PVC valve would be a good one to use? Any comments will be appreciated.

Use the PCV valve from a 1962 to 1966 Buick 401 or 425 and if you have a wrecking yard that has one of those cars in it you can get the valley cover also. The carburetor on these cars has an adapter plate that provides vaccume for the system but any good port such as the one that normally feeds a power brake system will work. You also need to make sure your valve covers are the ones with breathers on top not like mine on my 53.

    Jim,

Thanks for the prompt reply and info. I would have never thought of using a stock valley cover. I'm running on old 6X2 "U-FAB" manifold. I'll have to decide to tap into the manifold or pick up vacummn from the equalizer tubes. I'm leaning toward tapping into an equalizer tube. Now to find a valley cover.

    Thanks again.
