Ok......I re-plumbed the fuel line with new steel lines from the pump to the glass bowl fuel filter.....installed the fuel filter.......new steel line from teh glass bowl filter to the moraine filter on the carb........fired her up and let her run for over an hour...........no skip, hesitation , or stalling.........did notice soem air bubbles coming up in the glass bowl filter, which I thought was odd, but she is runnign like a dream again

Glad after much troubleshooting and hard work that your were able to cure the problem.
The REAL Test is where you put her on the road and the engine is working hard.
The "Air Bubbles" that you mention do have me concerned.
AS to the cause? I don't have ANY Idea.
I still think that you have gotten a hold of some bad fuel. I wonder if those air bubbles are actually droplets of water or condensation.
Run out that tank and then recheck the fuel system for any more debris.
Wish you luck and hope this problem has been put to rest.
