In 96 I think that was the transition year for the 3800 Series II. If you have the Series II then you are lucky since there is a lot of aftermarket items you can add. If you have a Series I than almost anything you can do would probably have to be custom. I had a 95 Regal before my 99 and there was virtually no aftermarket, I did an intake tube with a K&N cone and added dual flowmaster exhaust, all custom. It added a few noticeable ponies, but nothing near where I wanted it. When I got the 99 I knew that I did not want flowmasters since for my taste it was a little to raspy on top end.

Ben98GS from the regalgs.org forum and a few others including myself went ahead and fronted a project with MPD. We really wanted a hood for the late model Regal. We thought why should the Grand Prix's get all the glory with a Buick engine under their hood. You can see the hood on Ben's car on the hood maker's site at http://www.mpd-inc.net/buickregalgs.htm I still have all the prototype pics saved on my hard drive, it was pretty cool getting to mold what you want. We took the portholes from the 2000 GNX concept that were in the hood scoop and put them in the sides of the hood and we raised up the scoops from a 70 GSX, but some think they look more like GTO scoops. I know a few others on the other forum have done custom power bulges similiar to the Grand Nationals. To each their own. Thanks for the compliments.
