Have not trieed this personally, but I have it on good authority that a Buick 400-455 front seal will work as a modern replacement on any nailhead.

chicago rawhide might be able to come up with something also. i would think you would have to give them some dimensions to work with, and you would have to work with one of their vendors.

yes, it is a front seal for a 455. I have them in stock.

the number for this seal is National 450446 yes its the same *** 400-455

I've used the rope front seal and rear seal for the last 20 tears and have never had a problem or a leak with them. If they are carefully installed with the joint at the 2 o'clock or 10 o'clock position they will work perfectly.

I have also used these for years with no problems, and they never wear the sealing area like rubber seals do.
