‘72 455 in a ‘67 GS

Hello!
I’m sorry if this information is already in another thread, I couldn’t find it.

As the title states, I have a 455 that I’m planning on swapping into my 67 GS that currently has an Olds 350 in it.

Is the engine a direct bolt in? Is there somewhere I can find a full swap guide or anything of the sort?

That’s great! Thank you. Theoretically, everything should be decently easy to swap?
It seems to be a commonly done, but not commonly documented swap

If you are up to it, you could document your swap in the "Projects and Journals" forum to help others:)

Unless you are replacing the same engine, there is no such thing as a direct bolt in. You'll need to deal with some road blocks as they come up, and they will. Who knows what was done to the car before you owned it. It now has an Olds engine in it. The transmission bolt pattern is the same in Buick-Olds_Pontiac, so if it bolts to the Olds 350, it will bolt up to the BBB. Since the 67 GS could be had with the 400, the 455 will go in, it is the same engine basically with a bigger bore.
