Does anybody visit this forum? Oh well don't sweat it I got a kit and the carb is rebuilt now thanks.
Hey love the site hope you guys can help. I have a 63 Skylark with a 215 2 bbl. I can't find a parts store with a book that goes back far enough or a counter dweeb to look. My carb has no numbers were they should be. Can somebody tell me what # it should be or maybe a part # for a rebuild kit. Thanks Rich.

Hiya,
You could always dump the 2 bbl carb, and either look for a 4 bbl manifold on ebay, or get a new edelbrock #2198 for a rover v8. If you get the factory manifold you could fit either a rebuilt rochester 4gc or a Holley 4360 series (economaster 450cfm) carb. if you get the edelbrock intake you can fit either a Holley 390cfm #8007 or 450cfm #9776, or an edelbrock (1405?) 4 bbl carb. Of course, you could always just use the 2 bbl! Hope this helps.
Best of luck,
Malc
Hi. I have the exact same engine. The metal tag on my engine says 702342, and below that is A B3. I assume the A means automatic because that what I have. These are special Rochester 2CG carburetors with a reduced height base. On an engine this small, the 2bbl gives the best street performance.
Here is some carb info from the reference area of the site:
